Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a shopping list?
Tap the + button to create a new shopping trip. Give it a name, then start adding items. You can assign each item to a store and enter the price you expect to pay.
How do prices work?
Enter the price in the currency the store uses — EUR or DKK. You can enter it as a unit price, as a total for all the items, or as an offer such as “3 for 2”, in which case the app shows you the unit price as well.
How do I sync across devices?
Sync happens through iCloud. Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, and your lists, items and stores appear on all of them. There is no account to create and no password to remember.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app still works — your data just stays on that one device.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything is stored on your device, so you can plan and shop without a connection. Changes sync when you are back online.
Which stores are pre-loaded?
The app comes with popular border stores pre-loaded, including Fleggaard, Fakta EU, Duborg, Calle, Poetzsch, Aldi Süd, Lidl, Kaufland, Rewe, Dm and Rossmann. You can add your own stores as well.
Can I limit a list to certain stores?
Yes. Open the store settings for the list and pick the stores that are relevant for that trip. When nothing is selected, all your stores are available.
How do I repeat a trip?
Choose Repeat trip in the list menu, pick the items you want to bring along, and a new list is created from them. The history view also keeps the items you have used before, so you can add them again with a single tap.
Can I get my lists out of the app?
Yes. A list can be exported as JSON or CSV and shared like any other file. JSON files can be imported back into the app, including files exported by older versions.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings and use Delete all to clear everything, or swipe to delete individual lists and items. If you are signed in to iCloud, deletions are synchronized to your other devices.
What happened to accounts, groups and savings?
Version 2.0 is a simpler app. Sign-in is gone, and so are groups, shared lists, the shared product catalogue, premium, the savings calculation and the customs overview.
Your lists now live in your own iCloud instead of on our server. The first time you open version 2.0 on a device, it transfers the lists you had on the old server automatically — you do not have to do anything. You can still share a list by exporting it as a file.
Reporting Issues
The app no longer sends crash reports anywhere, so we only hear about a problem if you tell us. If something isn’t working, please email us with:
- A description of the problem
- What you expected to happen
- Your device model and OS version
- The app version (found at the bottom of Settings)
